Ketamine Assisted Psychotherapy (KAP)

I offer a therapeutic modality called Ketamine-Assisted Psychotherapy (KAP), the use of ketamine as a complement to psychotherapy. I deliver KAP in my practice in partnership with an organization called Journey Clinical, which has a specialized medical team that determines eligibility for KAP, prescribes the ketamine, & supports us in monitoring outcomes.

When the remnants of our past emerge in our present, it can feel disorienting and painful. I offer curiosity, warmth and empathy towards these emergent experiences and accompany you in deepening your self-understanding.

Individual and Couples Psychotherapy

(inquire about openings)

At this time, I work exclusively with adults who have prior experience with psychotherapy and are not in acute crisis. My clients are typically “high achievers” or “perfectionists” who seek to know themselves more deeply. Our work together offers a space to bring into more conscious awareness, unacknowledged pain, longings and barriers to substantive nourishment of self.

What to expect

Over the past 13 years in the mental health field, I have learned a lot about what I need to ensure my life as a clinician is sustainable for many years to come. Inspired by my collaborative work with The Kintsugi Therapist Collective, I have experienced the ease and gratification that comes with honoring my body and feeling resourced while simultaneously holding space for deeply transformative therapeutic possibilities. It is my hope that, in tending to myself, you will also consider your own needs as a valued part of our work together.

I encourage you to consider whether or not your therapeutic needs align with what I offer.

  • My practice is psychoanalytically informed and I live with a chronic eye condition. As such, most sessions are conducted by phone and video. Phone sessions allow for deep listening, reverie and exploration of one’s inner world.

  • I meet with clients on a weekly basis.

  • I offer a complimentary 20 minute video consult to explore the possibility of working together.

  • I will periodically take a few days or a week off. I will do my best to give you as much notice as is possible. Chronic illness can be unpredictable.

  • I will not be available for emergency calls. If you need to request a more urgent meeting with me, please expect up to 24 hours for a response. I will make every effort to schedule an urgent meeting as soon as is possible.

  • I will do what I can to make myself comfortable in our sessions and I encourage you to do the same.

  • My private practice rates are non-negotiable and I require 24 hours notice for cancellations.

If any of these practice terms are challenging for you, that is ok! I am not for everyone and my private practice is not for everyone. There are other ways to connect with me and my work. Here is a link for more info.
