You can’t put the past behind you. It’s buried in you; it’s turned your flesh into its own cupboard. Not everything remembered is useful but it all comes from the world to be stored in you.
Living in this Queer Body: A Psychotherapy Process Group
This psychotherapy process group addresses the challenges of embodiment for LGBTQIA individuals (ages 22 - 45) in New York State and Internationally.
In this trauma-informed, queer-affirming, mindfulness-oriented, video psychotherapy group, we will explore the causes of body discomfort and pain, shame, grief, struggles with boundaries, disordered eating, body dysmorphia, anxiety, uncertainty about decision-making, how to maintain a sustainable creative practice, intimacy, family or partner conflict, and much more.
I offer this opportunity knowing how powerful it can be to have our inner lives truly known and witnessed by others, to heal relationally amongst peers. I believe in narrative medicine. I believe in the reparative possibilities that can materialize in the context of a stable, safe and emotionally nurturing group setting. It is my hope that this process group can serve as a catalyst for deeper insight, confidence about our intuition, increased mindfulness about our personal challenges around embodiment as well as pathways towards a more integrated sense of self.
- Sundays 10:30-12pm starting January 6th
- Max 10 group members
- sessions will take place via the online platform zoom.com

I am a queer-identified clinician who is dedicated to offering supportive and attuned treatment to queer, gender non-conforming, gender-fluid and transgender individuals. I have extensive clinical experience working with traumatized, neglected and misunderstood bodies and the subsequent challenges of embodiment. Together we will explore these legacies and the challenges group members face relationally, sexually, and psychically.
